1/6 Scale - Repainting Equipment

Finally I got a decent matt lacquer and a decent rust effect. I decided to improve the equipment already painted by me.

I also show the effect of glass on the binoculars using still watter from Vallejo.

My Waffen SS 1/6 Action Figures updated:

There are custom and created from with equipment and uniforms from various sources. Also they are modified and repainted too look like I want.

Custom 1/6 Scale Figure Schütze Mann from SS Totenkopf Division

This is a old DID (Dragon in Dreams) body (Herbert Zeller) with Dragon uniform, boots and other equipment, DID Y Straps Ultimate and Soldier-21st Century Toys equipment. Most of The equipment including the helmet was repainted too look more realistic. The MP40 is metal and also was repainted.

This is a figure that I was updating over the time as I have new things or ideias to use on it. So looks like is some how finished for now. The last update was Dragon Jack Boots and ensignias: Close combat badge and 2º Clase Iron Cross Ribon. I try to have it look like a badass...

Dragon – 1/6 Scale WWII Kharkov 1943 – Grenadier Machine Gunner Otto

This is a Dragon 1/6 Scale – New Generation Life Action Figures Series – Item No. 70010 – WWII Kharkov 1943 – Grenadier Machine Gunner (Schütze) Otto Bonn from the Totenkopf SS Division.

This figure includes originaly a MG42 but I was unable to have one so I use a MG34. Then this goes custom. The equipment was weathered and repainted to look more realistic. including the MG34. He uses a Parka known as "Kharkov Parka" because it was first used by the Waffen SS Division around the Kharkov area. The helmet was painted with snow camouflage. Its a WIP so it will be updated. My passion for 1/6 scale is goind "crazy" I want more! For now I only collect German WW2 figures but I also want others :) This is my Waffen SS figures:

The hands was not from the original body because the original ones was damaged.

O que aprendi com este? Uso de tintas de óleo, tornei a coisa mais colorida e aprendi um pouco de camuflagem em uniformes alemães. O passeio e a estrada tem cores diferentes, mas não consigo captar nas fotos, se calhar devia ter acentuado mais a diferença. A ver vamos... Venha o próximo. Qualquer dia serei bom...

Começado como um teste de aplicação de novas técnicas (para mi), está a caminho de um novo projecto. Trata-se de um Horch 1A da Tamiya e as respectivas figuras. Este modelo faz parte de um conjunto que trazia um Flak 38, mas neste caso o Flak não vai aparecer e falta também uma figura que desapareceu. O Horch não está a resultar, mas as figuras até saíram bem. Vou ver se consigo melhorar:
